Ok quick demo time. I got a set for a new touch display 17.3 inch with touch functionality. The display is a N173HCE-E31 with 1920x1080. The touch registeres as a USB HID Mouse by ILITEK. It's connected to the main PCB that operates as a USB HUB.
The idea is to replace the old display, that I salvaged from an old laptop years ago, becaue of it's bad viewing angle. I got also really tired of it's glare and experimented with an anti glare foil and while this reduced the glare a lot (worth every cent) it doesn't help with the angle. So having an idea what this could be I eventually opted to get some new parts.
I'll also use the chance to rewire some of my buttons because I want more buttons that I did plan in the beginning but never added because during the time of making this stuff was hard to get by thanks to Corona.
