Dmitri Shostakovich - Symphony No.11 'The Year 1905', 2nd Movement 'The Ninth of January', 2nd part, arranged for piano 8-hands

Piano 1 Primo - Blue
Piano 1 Secondo - Purple
Piano 2 Primo - Yellow
Piano 2 Secondo - Orange

The 'Metal of Classical'. This section depicts 'Bloody Sunday', when the Russian Tsar's soldiers opened fire at unarmed demonstrators outside the Winter Palace.

Shostakovich himself arranged his symphonies for piano four-hands, but the amount of activity in this section is too much for one piano. With reference to his arrangement, I expanded it for 8-hands (2 pianos). If you do attempt this, make sure your pianos have strings that are strong enough...oh and go listen to the orchestral version if you haven't already.
