Should Harry Kane have signed for THIS club instead?
He’s one of our own, the Tottenham Hotspur fans sing.
And for how much he might not be for much longer – Harry Kane, at the time of recording at least is a Tottenham Hotspur player.
He’s a Tottenham Hotspur fan that idolised striker Teddy Sheringham growing up, surrounded by family members who all supported Spurs one way or another.
A Tottenham supporter that has become one of the club’s all-time top scorers, only behind the late, great Jimmy Greaves and will go down – regardless of if a transfer elsewhere materialises – as a legend of the club.
And if you’ve spent any time on social media at all, then you will have seen pictures of him floating about in Arsenal gear.
That is because Kane was an academy player at Arsenal when he was eight years of age.
In the end, his time at Arsenal would be cut short because he was (according to Arsenal great Liam Brady and then-academy manager) “too chubby” and “not very athletic”.
And whilst he might not be the most athletic of footballers, Harry Kane for both club and country has ascended to become one of the world’s greatest goalscorers, one of the best complete forwards of his age.
In an age where Arsenal have cried out for a centre forward who could score by the bucketload – since the sale of Robin van Persie in 2012 – Harry Kane has scored nearly 300 goals in just under 500 games for club and country.
