Should I Play SWTOR In 2022? Is It Worth It?

As somone who has been playing this MMORPG since it first launched, when someone asks me if Star Wars: The Old Republic is worth playing, I always say yes. But in 2022, since the Legacy of the Sith update, I feel like that answer is a RESOUNDING yes, and here is why I think SWTOR is worth it.

You've got WAY more options for your playstyle now with the revamped character creation, taking the origin stories and then breaking those down into the individual archetypes or styles. Then from there, you've got three disciplines you can choose from on the fly...AND you can dual-spec as well (if you are a subscriber).

Whether or not you pay a subscription to Star Wars: The Old Republic is up to you. I typically sub for 3 month blocks with my brother, though for my current Republic Trooper playthrough I've been doing free to play since I'm only playing about two hours per week versus the 20+ hours a week we play when we are in our SWTOR "mode", if that makes sense.

So for me, I think SWTOR is absolutely worth it and you should absolutely play this MMO in 2022 if you are looking for a fun game that has the classic Star Wars experience behind it. May the Force be with you!
