A new benchmark for Intel's upcoming Intel Arc Alchemist GPU, AKA Intel Xe, giving as an interesting preview of the performance for Intel Arc Alchemist. We examine these new performance results, and the worryingly low benchmark performance that we see here. But the question is, should we be worried? Of course, Intel Arc Alchemist is the first in Intel's graphics card roadmap, and has been rumoured to match the gaming and ray tracing performance of the RTX 3070 (ish). But these performance results show a much lower performance benchmark than expected for Intel Xe. So shoudl we be worried for Intel Arc discrete desktop GPU?
Samsung GDDR7 is also apparently in development, alongside DDR6 memory. With DDR5 very expensive and only recently being supported by hardware specificially the Intel Alder Lake line of CPUs, what kind of pricing would we see for DDR6 and GDDR7? We examine the expected specs and speed for GDDR7 and DDR6 from Samsung.
