Limited Run started as a preservation company for indie titles. But its so much more than that these days. Is it still a reputable company? Or a big cash grab? Lets find out!

Limited Run had brought many great titles to physical form, such as Firewatch (RIP Campo Santo), Bastion, Octodad, Golf Story, the list goes on. Giving a second option at retail took away some of the limited feeling. An early complain of Limited Run was the low print run. This has all but disappeared with open preorders and partnerships with Best Buy and Target. They have turned into the kickstarter of video games. They are no longer a limited company, but a big time publisher with big time money.

I love seeing companies like Special Reserve Games put the print number right on the box. It hits me right in the collector feels. Other games also have international releases. So finding a cheaper version through something like PlayAsia is also a great option.

What about you? Are you ready to leave Limited Run Games Behind?
