Emulation or using real hardware has always been a huge debate in the gaming community. Emulating is great. From an emulation accuracy perspective, it isn't really a question that should be asked anymore. Accuracy is quite high these days.

My opinion now on using an emulator or a console, is now that it is totally up to you. Emulators are so accurate it shouldn't make a difference which you pick. I totally love playing on real hardware in front of a CRT though. There is just something so special about the experience. But you cannot discount the ease of access of emulation, including save states.

When you are a busy adult without all the time in the world, save states are a life saver for actually being able to finish games.
