85Answering that age old question. Should you buy a refurbished monitor. Well that depends on which company you are buying from. The most important thing you should look into before making the decision is the companies policy on refurbished and new items.
Most companies will replace problem monitors with refurbished monitors under warranty claims. The obvious positives of purchasing refurbished are the prices, the price difference should justify the lower warranty you receive on the produce and in my opinion should be fairly vast like the $200 I got off on each of these.
Also I find specifically with monitors using wall mounts is an advantage as well because often the stand will have cosmetic damage on it or potentially the back or bevel. There is notice you can do to hide bevel damage, but wall mounting the monitor will completely negate the stand damage issue.
