Showdown of Styles: Map Control & Set Execute Spectrum (CS:GO)
I mean really it's like a spectrum, or numbers on a line. Probably a % in terms of execution and map control. I like to think of fnatic as a map control team, and EnVyUs also employs their utility for map control, not necessarily for executes. nV tries to play "the middle way," but I don't think they're as moderate as they believe themselves to be. Everyone tries to play "the middle way" and it's really a percentage based on how much, or how close you are to doing set executes every T side round of a match, how close a team is to 100% set executes. People say that these teams are just playing aim duels, but they're not it's a looser style if your utility is just centered around taking control of map areas because there are less exact set executes, but that doesn't mean there's an absence of team play. So maybe a team is 30% execute based another team is 40%
Style
These things are all separate, but not mutually exclusive:
Structure | Tactics | Teamplay | Executes
What can be immediately mutually exclusive is Set Execute & Map Control, but nothing in this game is impossible. A team could achieve map control without using utility, and then quickly take that map control and set up a base for set executes. It's not impossible, but very difficult.
