Shure MV7 microphone review - USB and XLR? Plus sound to match
108This is the Shure MV7 microphone and this is an unboxing of the mic with setup and testing both in USB and XLR mode, on the desk and on a boom arm.
This is a really interesting microphone for the simple fact that it will work with multiple devices while also offering similar recording quality to the Shure SM7B - which is incredible in itself given that this mic is basically have the price of that mic and you can use it without XLR equipment too. It'll even record via USB-C cable on your phone!

Features of the Shure MV7 include:
Connecting via USB allows you to use "Auto" Level Mode within ShurePlus MOTIV app (adjusts based on your voice and distance)
Simple tone adjustment - dark, natural, light
XLR or USB modes or both at the same time
Works with PC or Mobile
Talk into the mic, with very little other directional pick up, means less background noise!
Simple touch controls on the mic (bit finnicky though)
"Auto Level Mode also acts as a virtual audio engineer and adjusts audio levels on the fly, giving audiences a more consistent listening experience."
Premium and solid design that makes it very appealing
Fits any desk stand or boom arm
Downsides:
It doesn't come with any sort of desk stand
