Part 25 - The Siege of Ashur.
A no-commentary playthrough on a small map with otherwise default world settings on Prince difficulty playing as the Greeks.

Onto the second game of my Civilization series! Sid Meier's Civilization II was released by MicroProse in 1996 and was the first Civilization game I played. I didn't even have a manual at first, so I had to teach myself just from the in-game material. However, I was still able to get hooked. The visuals haven't aged great with the Windows 95 aesthetics, however the gameplay is still fun.

Playing and recording Civ2 on Windows 11 was a bit tricky. I am playing the vanilla release (not the MP expansion) and my usual tactic of using VirtualBox didn't work. For this game, I emulated a Windows 98 environment using PCem (https://pcem-emulator.co.uk/) and installed the additional video codecs for the wonder and council videos (which I had never seen before).
