Sid Meier's Covert Action | Part 15: Not-so-Probable Cause
In the past, I had learned that the game will start throwing red herrings at you if you investigate so thoroughly that it runs out of other, actual clues. Today we find out that suspects will sometimes show up during an infiltration mission even if they're in no way related to the plot. Thankfully, they didn't program it to harm my final score for wrongfully arresting someone.

Sid Meier's Covert Action is a collection of action and strategy minigames centered around the theme of an agent of the CIA trying to catch criminals and stop their illegal activities. Featuring randomly generated crimes and suspects to ensure that no two games will be the same, it was developed and published by MicroProse Software in 1990, and rereleased for modern systems by Retroism and Nightdive Studios in 2015.
The headlines of the day were dominated by news of political extremists, ruthless drug lords, and militaristic dictators. While it's all too easy to give into feelings of powerlessness, instead you can slip into the shoes of Max Remington, super-spy working for the Central Intelligence Agency of the American government. Tap their phones, trace their cars, kick down the doors and then look for probable cause afterward. So long as the crime gets stopped, the ends justify the means.
