This is a bug in Twilight Princess. You can actually easily reproduce it just by following the steps in this video on console. Featured in the following article - https://dolphin-emu.org/blog/2016/09/06/booting-the-final-gc-game/

Dolphin (with default settings) does not crash when this happens. This is because with the MMU Speedhack, the bad memory address causing the crash is covered by "fake" ram. With MMU enabled, the game crashes as it should now.

...but What did Link throw...?

For those wanting a technical explanation: 0x40000000 is a memory address covered by Dolphin's MMU Speedhack. That's where it was reading/writing to during this glitch. Because Dolphin pretended it was valid memory, the game didn't crash before. With Dynamic BATs, we can enable MMU without any performance penalty in Twilight Princess, allowing this bug to work as intended.

Music

X-files theme is from the X-files. Surprise.
