Finding an elevator that leads up to the DANTE's bridge, Neo has Jutah take it - and on the long way up they are ambushed by the rest of the Blue Mist Squadron, forcing Neo to fight them off one by one until they are all destroyed. Upon killing the last of them, the captain of the Blue Mist Squardron finally shows up in person, piloting a large mech of his own, and makes it clear to Jutah that he intends to give it his all in attempting to take Jutah down. And that is precisely what he does, giving Neo the biggest challenge he's faced thus far. While Neo does struggle against the captain at first, he eventually manages to achieve a narrow victory in the end.

Finally reaching the bridge, Neo and Jutah get ready to face the commanders of the DANTE - only to find that someone got to them first, with their burning corpses being all that remains of them. The identity of their killer quickly reveals himself to Jutah, and it turns out to be none other than Benoit, whom the assault team has not seen since the start of the mission. Revealing that he is the one responsible for the assault team's ambush failing by leaking information to the enemy while also unleashing the bioweapons onboard the ship and killing most of the crew, Benoit makes his true intentions known: to take the DANTE and use it to bring chaos and destruction to Hornet and the rest of the galaxy, for apparently no reason other than just to satiate his own bloodlust - and he offers Jutah the chance to come with him so he can unleash the killer inside of himself. Annri, overhearing the conversation between Benoit and Jutah, urges Jutah to not listen to Benoit and to remember what is truly important to him, but Benoit doesn't take kindly to Annri's attempts to help Jutah understand himself. Unfortunately for Benoit, Jutah declines his offer, making it clear that while he is unsure of what is right or wrong, Jutah knows one thing for sure: that he has a mission to complete, and that is to destroy the DANTE.

Benoit, seeing that Jutah is unwilling to take Benoit up on his offer for galactic chaos, attempts to kill Jutah by ejecting the bridge - only for Jutah to be saved by the rest of the assault team, who all go to regroup somewhere on the ship to discuss what to do about the renegade Benoit. They decide their best option is to disable the ship's main cannon so Benoit can't use it to destroy the planet, although with their time being extremely limited they have to make some shortcuts to get to where they need to go to disable the main cannon, and once THAT is accomplished Neo has to guide Jutah through the cannon's reactor and blow up its vital components, which proves to not be an easy feat for Neo by any stretch given the serious defenses placed around the reactor in question...
