Silent Hill 2 Remake is a survival horror game developed by Bloober Team and published by Konami. The game is a remake to the 2001 game of the same name, originally developed by Team Silent, a group within Konami Computer Entertainment.
Silent Hill 2 Remake’s story is the same as the original game. The story follows main character, James Sunderland, who receives a letter from his deceased wife, Mary, who claims to be waiting for him in the eponymous town of Silent Hill. After receiving the letter from his deceased wife, James returns to Silent Hill to search for her.
Silent Hill 2 remake gameplay features a modern third-person camera system. The environments within the game were built on a larger scale than that of the original game and the combat has been recrafted, allowing for players to use melee weapons (similar to the original game), enemies to react to gunfire, and the implementation of stealth.
Silent Hill 2 Remake released on October 8, 2024, for PC and PlayStation 5.
