Having found himself in some old, dilapidated apartments that are obviously filled with lethal, spooky stuff, Neosekken cautiously guides James throughout the building, exploring every apartment that isn't in some way blocked off to him. During his explorations, he encounters two people: a little girl who saw fit to cause grievious bodily harm to James' poor hand while attempting to reach a key item, a young man named Eddie who was vomitting sweet nothings into a toilet inside one of the apartments near a set of legs in a fridge. Neo also encounters a man-like creature with a triangular head, and it's immediately made obvious that this creature is something not to be just casually messed with no matter how mind-numbingly tempting it may be to do so.

Eventually Neo manages to find himself in another apartment building located next to the first one he was exploring, and it is here that he runs into Angela, the young woman he encountered in the cemetary on his way into town. After having a conversation that was both a bit tense and cryptic, Angela leaves James and a knife she was holding behind, with James taking the knife to hold onto for her.

Reaching the exit of the second apartment building, Neo encounters the triangular-headed monster again (who he's taken to calling "Triangle Man"), which proceeds to murder his butt with a fury akin to that of a mother bear seeing it's cubs being messed with by some dumb piece of walking meat that lacked any semblance of common sense and survival instinct, until Neo eventually manages to survive long enough to escape the seemingly hopeless encounter alive.

Moving on, Neo eventually arrives at the park by the lake, and it is here that he encounters a woman who looks startlingly like James' wife Mary, who identifies herself as Maria. Deciding to tag along with James after a short conversation, Neo now guides them both as they now have a new destination in mind: The hotel by the lake, where James and Mary stayed during their vacation in Silent Hill.
