Having learned what happened to Chris Redfield and the other STARS members in the previous episode, Neosekken continues to guide Claire throughout the police station for any signs of survivors, along with anything that could be used to help them escape the building with their lives. While exploring the west side of the building, Neo encounters a young girl, who flees from Claire upon seeing her. Giving chase, Neo and Claire find the girl had managed to escape, but at the same time they also reunite with Leon, who also saw the girl and tried to go after her as well. Taking a radio from Leon so they can keep in touch with each other while they go their seperate ways throughout the building, Claire and Neo decide to continue to search for other survivors.
Eventually, they run into the chief of police, Brian Irons, who was keeping watch over the corpse of Raccoon City's mayor's daughter in his office. Seemingly too distressed over his apparent failure to keep the young woman safe from whatever killed her, Irons asks Claire to be left alone, and with that Neo explores more of his office space. It is here that he runs into the young girl again, and after Claire gets her to calm down and try talking to Claire, the young girl identifies herself as Sherry, and from there Claire and Sherry talk about who she is and what she is doing at the police station...
