Silent Hill 3 Knife Run: Split Worm, Part 1.
26This is a series if videos showing you how to defeat the bosses in Silent Hill 3 on Hard Mode with minimal damage taken. This is done on Hard action, Normal riddle. This is Boss #1, Split Worm, part 1.
A large part of this battle consists of being able to predict when and where the worm will rear his ugly head out. You do this based on how the camera behaves when the worm is getting ready to punch through. If it shifts a little bit, the worm is coming from one of the holes in front of you. If it shifts wildly, it's going to pop out of a hole behind you. If it doesn't change at all, it's coming from the hole you're in front of. Practice this to get a feel for prediction the worms movements.
Also note that the ground slam doesn't inflict any damage. All it does is distort you for a moment; it's not going to kill you. So don't get nervous when Heather flinches because of it; that's just her losing balance, as usual.
