RétroGaming 2.0 ;0) Presents you "SILENT HILL 4 : THE ROOM" is the fourth installment in the Konami Silent Hill survival horror series. The game was released in Japan in June 2004 and in North America and Europe in September of that same year. Silent Hill 4 was released for the Sony PlayStation 2 and the Microsoft Xbox consoles as well as the PC. A soundtrack release was also made at the same time.
Unlike the previous installments, which were set primarily in the disturbed town of Silent Hill, this game is set in the fictional town of South Ashfield and is focused on the character of Henry Townshend attempting to escape from his locked-down apartment. He explores a series of supernatural worlds and finds himself in conflict with an undead serial killer.
Originally intended as a spinoff from the main series, Silent Hill 4 features an altered gameplay style with first-person navigation when exploring the eponymous room.

Le jeu est sorti au Japon en juin 2004 et en Amérique du Nord et en Europe en septembre de la même année. Silent Hill 4 est sorti sur les consoles Sony PlayStation 2 et Microsoft Xbox ainsi que sur PC. Une sortie de bande originale a également été faite en même temps.
Contrairement aux épisodes précédents, qui se déroulaient principalement dans la ville perturbée de Silent Hill, ce jeu se déroule dans la ville fictive de South Ashfield et se concentre sur le personnage d'Henry Townshend tentant de s'échapper de son appartement verrouillé. Il explore une série de mondes surnaturels et se retrouve en conflit avec un tueur en série mort-vivant.
Conçu à l'origine comme un spin-off de la série principale, Silent Hill 4 propose un style de jeu modifié avec une navigation à la première personne lors de l'exploration de la salle éponyme.
