A new gameplay trailer for Silent Hill f, revealed during Gamescom 2025, showed the terrifying "Otherworld" version of its 1960s Japanese setting. The footage highlights the grotesque, flower-themed body horror that infects the protagonist and her surroundings as the town decays. The game is confirmed to be a single-player, survival-horror title and is scheduled to be released on September 25, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.

Venturing through the Otherworld with a naginata, Hinako encounters all kinds of monstrosities. A mysterious voice seemingly guides her, but the surreal radio announcements keep her off course. If that wasn’t enough, she’ll explore a twisted version of her home and what seems to be another version of herself.

The trailer shows Hinako using melee weapons like a steel pipe and naginata, indicating that combat will be more action-oriented than in the Silent Hill 2 remake. Producer Motoi Okamoto and director Al Yang have stated this was a deliberate choice to attract a wider and younger audience.

The trailer shows protagonist Hinako Shimizu navigating the rural Japanese town of Ebisugaoka as a mysterious, sinister fog envelops it. The Otherworld version of the town is seen rotting and infested with monsters, with buildings and streets warping into monstrous, flower-infested versions of themselves.
