I got the Fox Rain ending because I couldn't complete the first Jizo Bodhisattva, but fortunately, I was able to see the next ending by continuing the save.
I thought I missed this early in the game, but you can get it later on, on the route from Shu's house to Hinako's house.

Hoyugimi (狐濡其尾): The fox's tail gets wet.
It's said to mean that it's easy to start, but difficult to finish.

I reached the Seven-Tailed Fox boss on "Dense Fog" difficulty, but I was stuck at the final stage where it summoned three giants. If I didn't kill them in time, it would use an instant death attack. Even though it's not Souls-style, isn't the following sequence a bit too extreme: Gatekeeper - Phase 1 - Summon a horde of mobs - Phase 2 - Summon a horde of mobs - Phase 3 - Summon three giants?

I ended up clearing it on Story difficulty. I'll have to try again later when I have some more time.
