SILENT HILL VR is (kinda) possible using this NEW VR MOD // Quest 2 Airlink
238I'm getting real tired of waiting for a new Silent Hill game so today I decided to use a bunch of mods to make one myself...and it didn't go very well! This Silent Hill VR game is actually a combination of Left 4 Dead 2 mods plus the new Left 4 Dead 2 VR mod (which has already improved A LOT since I last checked it out). This unique fan made Silent Hill campaign for Left 4 Dead 2 can now be played in full VR so I decided to throw in a bunch of classic Silent Hill monsters, characters, sounds and music to see if this would fill the void inside me that is constantly crying out for a new game... spoiler alert, it didn't. HOWEVER, this video is really meant to showcase just how much content there is available that can be played in VR now thanks to the Left 4 Dead 2 VR mod, full conversions based around Silent Hill, Doom, The Last of Us, The Division and many more fan favourite properties are available via Steam workshop and they ALL work with the new VR mod that continues to get better with each passing day...
This obviously isn't a good replacement for a proper new Silent Hill game but if you apply the Dark Days modifier/mutation then all the enemies become much slower and far deadlier, meaning the game takes on a more methodical and measured approach, brining it SLIGHTLY closer to a true Silent Hill experience. However nothing will compare to a proper new Silent Hill game and I for one hope I see an official Silent Hill VR in my lifetime, we have plenty of amazing Resident Evil VR games now so Silent Hill is one of my remaining wishes...
