I tried out a new style with the mission debriefings this time around. If anyone likes/ dislikes it, feel free to say so in the comments below. In this part of the campaign, I take on the duties of protecting the sciences of our alien allies scurrying through an asteroid belt, where no one seems willing to talk of what cool stuff they've found out and we get to feel the raw power of a full- size fleet in action. Only with the help of the Open Source Code Project, ladies and gentlemen! One certainly suspicious cameo from the original Silent Threat (although it seems far friendlier than before) changes the orders dramatically, and a ruthless Shivan attack paves the way for the following mission, Ghosts, where things take a turn for the very confusing, and everyone leaves with a dark implication hanging over their heads.
Fun fact: the first mission in this video is a total replacement of a mission in the original Silent Threat, where you had to destroy a Vasudan supply depot that got wind of the containment op in the previous mission, and the Einstein blunders in during the clean- up op. Ghosts, on the other hand, is a remake of a mission in Silent Threat under the same name with higher difficulty, better balance, and a different outcome. Let's just say those stealth fighters aren't exactly that willing to help you out in the original Silent Threat. Too bad that means we missed out on the sucker punch line...
