Watch as John tries out anti-grav racer Redout. To celebrate its recent appearance on the Epic Game Store as a free download, (ending 19th of May) as well as Redout 2’s release on the 16th of June, we decided to give Redout a try and see what all the fuss is about.

Inspired by games such as F-Zero and wipE′out″, Redout is similarly a futuristic take on the anti-gravity racer genre, exhibiting colourfully speedy action at silky-smooth framerates.

Although a little long in the tooth at six years old - and despite some power-up confusion - 34BigThings’ Redout: Enhanced Edition still managed to impress John with its looks and performance but is admittedly not his cup of anti-gravi-tea.

But if you love games such as F-Zero, Pacer, Grip: Combat Racing or wipE′out″, then Redout and its soon-to-be-released sequel are definitely worth checking out.
