SimCity 5 's aggressive always online DRM may have a possible workaround that was recently discovered by a modder. The modder supposedly accessed the singleplayer campaign of the game in offline mode by accessing the secret debug mode inclided with SimCity. This enabled them to mod the game so it no longer had prompts to kick the user from the game if disconnected from the internet for more than 20 minutes. The modder, who goes by the name UKAzzer, uploaded a video on this which you can view below.
