SimCity Debug Menu Code (SNES) - Retrogaming Easter Eggs #shorts
7,114I never knew about this Debug Menu code in SimCity for the SNES until now. The Debug Menu allows you to play with infinite money, no disasters, and some other very helpful cheats.
To access the Debug Menu, go tot he Load/Save menu during normal gameplay and select END. You can save your game here if you want. Either way, the game takes you to the "Good bye" screen. On this "Good bye" screen, enter the following inputs on Controller 2: Left, A, Right, Y, Up, B, Down X, Select, Start, Start, Select, R, R, L, L. If you performed the code correctly, the debug menu should appear.
There's a Sound Test on this screen as well as some other options such as No Disasters, which is self explanatory (although it doesn't turn of ALL disasters, because I still saw plane crashes and nuclear meltdowns with this option turned on. Or maybe I messed something up?).
Set any options you like to ON, then set Memory to SET, then reset your console and either start a new game or load up your save file.
The Water Reclaim option lets you bulldoze water to create land, so you can finally play some other map besides map number 061 (the one everyone uses since it has the most land area).
Needless Money gives you infinite money. I think it's supposed to say Endless Money but idk.
Valve Max sets the demand for residential, industrial, and commercial zones to the maximum. Is this supposed to say Value Max? According to this Wiki, "The SimCity source code refers to demand for each type of zone as a 'valve.'" - https://tcrf.net/SimCity_(SNES)
