Immunity to Robots in Streets of Rage 2 (Sega Genesis) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
1,113In Streets of Rage 2 for the Sega Genesis, there's a fairly simple way to cheese the robot bosses at the end of Round 7 by gaining immunity to their attacks.
Just before you reach the robot bosses (Particle and Molecule) you will encounter a group of enemies that includes a knife-wielding guy named Soya. He can produce knives from his pockets and throw them, or drop them if you walk up to him and grab him while he's holding a knife.
If you can end the fight against Soya with a whole bunch of knives on the ground (in this example I had six knives lying on the ground), then for some reason the robot bosses will not be able to shoot their lasers or hit you with their swinging arm attacks.
In other words, if there are a lot of knives on the ground while you fight Molecule and Particle, all you will need to do is stand in front of them and punch.
You won't become completely invulnerable, because grabbing either robot will still zap you, it seems.
I'm guessing that you won't need quite as many knives scattered on the ground if you are playing on harder difficulties because there will be more robots creating lag/sprite overload, but I haven't tested this.
