Granted, I have done lots of SimCity videos before, and some of those videos may even have been vaguely tutorial-ish, but introducing my first actual tutorial series in SimCity.

Which means it is only a little bit more tutorial-ish than my non-tutorials.

In Tutorial #1, we cover how to crush the spirits of your sims so as to maximize productivity and profit, and eventually build your city into a monument to your own titanic ego, founded on the bones and tears of a million sims. Oh wait, that's a later tutorial...

In Tutorial #1, we cover:
·Choosing a region.
·Choosing a founding city site in that region that will give you the best chance of getting your region off to a good start.
·Designating "clean" zones for water and "dirty" zones for industry and sewage outflow.
·Designating a trade and tourism zone with priority highway access.
·Getting started with power, water and sewage.
·Laying roads and zoning Residential, Commercial and Industrial.
