RIP Happy the Goldfish. That mean, old cat just had to turn the goldfish bowl into a sushi bar. But at least the love birds are safe for now due to Dad's quick actions.

When your Sims have cats and either pet birds or goldfish, a feline's predatory instincts will eventually kick in. And Kitty may just decide to turn Fishy or Birdie into a snack. The goldfish is usually done for, but the birds may be harder for the cat to catch. If Kitty is attacking the goldfish or birds, any adult Sim can shoo off the cat in attempt to save them from becoming lunch.
