SimsVille was to be a ' neighborhood' centered life simulation.
The game was cancelled in 2001, when Maxis recentered its staff on 'The Sims' products.
Many elements from SimsVille were used in 'The Sims' 4th expansion pack : Hot Date, and in SimCity 4, the fulll 3D view was used in The Sims 2.
