I'm not the first to attempt this, but stock KSP doesn't really lend itself to the 'skydiver' descent control mechanic, at least not without adding a buttload of reaction wheels, reaction control thrusters and extra aerodynamic surfaces.
My solution - Kerbal RPC for fly by wire, intercepting my controls and translating them, along with a movable mass to adjust the center of mass.
I still can't steer it to a specific landing site yet, however to be fair the SpaceX engineers have spent a lot more time working on the problem....
