Sin and Punishment: Star Successor (JP) walkthrough Part 1: Intro stage
19It's finally time to start this walkthrough! This is Sin & Punishment 2, or Sin and Punishment: Successor to the Sky. This game is a sequel to the Nintendo 64 game, Sin & Punishment. The original game was a Japan-only game that was only released to America through Virtual Console. The controls on the Nintendo 64 game (or at least on the Virtual Console version) were pretty poor and the story was just confusing. This game kinda gives a new start to the series.
Sin and Punishment: Successor to the Sky is an on-rail shooter game developed by Treasue, the same company that made Wario World and Gunstar Heroes. The game features two characterrs from the start: Kachi and Isa. Playing as either character does not change the story at all... those two or three seconds of a cutscene may seem slightly different. Kachi and Isa each have a slightly different control style. For example, Isa's bomb attack is quicker to load and shoot, but it does less damage than Kachi's. Kachi has an automatic lock-on features which is great for bosses, but can become a pain while on an actual level. Isa attacks close up enemies with a sword while Kachi kicks them. I personally like Kachi's style better tbh.
Last but not least, this game has wi-fi connectivity. By this, I mean it has online leader boards. On each level, you earn points for everything you blow up. Once you die in a level or complete a level, you may submit the score online using Nintendo wi-fi connection and compare your score with people around the world. Pretty cool, huh?
