This skateboarding game has very simple and intuitive controls for doing a large variety of tricks. It has the highest rating among skakeboarding games in Google Play Store.
You can do 36 different flat ground tricks in regular, fakie or nollie stance and combine them with rotations to do tricks like nollie backside-flips or frontside-flips.
You can also do 20 different slides blunts and grinds and flip in and out. It's a bit too bad there are not more tricks.
You can skate down handrails and flip down stairs.
You can skate in Oslo as well as in a morning and night scene.
Skate Lines allows you to record your favorite tricks and lines and share them to Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Everyplay.
In turn, you get to discover and copy runs that other players have created – giving you access to an endless feed of new ideas to explore.
This skateboard game is really good! I would love it to have a graphics settings so that players can choose to improve the graphics if they play on high-end devices. The visuals are not outstanding but still nice. Animations are not super smooth.
Sound effects are realistic and the background music is good. I wish the developers could add a feature to play any music while the player is skating.
The game is very simple. Levels are short and it's not competitive. It could have a little more variety for sure. I expected it to have challenges or other features to diversify the gameplay a bit but was surprised there was none.
The tricks are accurate. If you are actually a skater you'll appreciate the style of the skater and the look of the tricks.
This game comes very close to skating in real life. The majority of skating games will let players rolling on flat ground ollie/flip trick over a garbage truck and without using a kickoff ramp. But this game truly sticks to reality, it's even better in 2D than many other skate games that are 3D.
The game experience is fun and addictive at first. However, because there is no scoring or challenge or progression of any sort, it may get boring after a while. Which is a shame because this game shows a lot of potential.
The sequel to this Skate Lines game is named Skate City, and it's beautiful. I find it surprising to make this sequel only available in the Apple AppStore.
