The fight with Fidchell is a mish-mash of past techniques packed into a jerk with teleportation counters. You've seen Gorre's normal shots and Bloom of Destiny before, along with Helen's Prolog Laser, Tarvos' Orb of Revenge, and as always, Data Drain. He also has a reflective shield that will throw your shots back if you get close (so Corbenik's shockwave, but a lot better).

This fight isn't so difficult because of his offense, and his defense isn't special; it's difficult to shorten because Fidchell is good at stall tactics. This is where you turn the tables on him by using the scythe to stall him instead; once you get four hits in (two hits, let the combo reset, two hits), you can nail Fidchell with at least two shots uninterrupted with no chance for a teleport counter, making a subsequent stun loads easier to accomplish. The scythe attack itself can be difficult to get as, like I said, Yata may stall by running away and going into Spinning Death or whatever, but if you can do it successfully the fight can be cut down to size.
