This is the easily the hardest feat one can accomplish in avatar battle so far as I know, based on pure skill anyway.

Fidchell uses Data Drain at the start of his low damage command script, so normally it's impossible to avoid. Like Gorre, you can't do the necessary damage needed to avoid the low damage script and there's no way, not even randomly, that Fidchell will avoid using Data Drain such as in the cases of Innis and Azure Flame God. However, unlike every other avatar battle in the series, Fidchell's large hit detection not only opens him up for a six hit combo, it opens him up for an *infinite* combo. This infinite combo isn't demonstrated particularly well here because I only spent 2 and a half hours total trying to make this movie (all of my education on the timing was on the fly), but it is used to skip Data Drain obviously. How do you think I was able to label this no damage? :P

Here's how the combo is done: strike twice, let the combo reset, strike twice, and immediately start smashing dash when you see Skeith launch the fourth scythe hit. Into the fourth dash (listen for the sounds since you'll be hitting dash more than that obviously), Fidchell's hands will finish coming back together in that little prayer pose. You have to repeat this combination and subsequent dashing just as his hands are about to touch palms again. If they touch, you can continue the attack, but the stunned damage bonus is gone (if you stunned him to begin with). If you're too early, you will be repelled again and Fidchell will quickly recover; it may be possible to continue the combo if you're persistent but again, the stunned damage bonus is gone. If you've ever tried a similar infinite combo in a fighting game, the window in which you have to repeat your attacks is usually very small, and this is no different.

The no damage bit wasn't actually necessary, but I really wanted to demonstrate that yes, it is possible to perfect this fight. This was also making me a little crazy since no other avatar fight has been this difficult (most people don't think of avatar battle as hard, and I've gotten to the point that I expect it to be cake), so the fight is subpar but still faster than the previous video (technically, though if I had skipped the Data Drain cutscene, I don't think that would be the case (this would be beaten by a couple seconds I guess)). You can see that I clearly have yet to master this at the video's beginning, as I'm taking every opportunity I can to practice before the finish. I was quite worried when I screwed up at the end, but I was very lucky that I got far enough to end things on the Chakram.

Yes, I take two hits right after I launch Data Drain, but Skeith has infinite energy when his opponent is Protect Broken, plus the charge meter was dry and not being charged anyway, so the no damage claim stands as the shots had no other effect than temporarily stunning me after the fight was practically over.

As for how I found this, I was messing with using the scythe to stall Fidchell and decided to see how far I could take things (I think). When I saw that there was a reliable pattern, I knew I had to make a no damage video and humiliate this arrogant jerk. :D
