In this video, I delve into the tragic Skylink Flight 070 crash of 1989. This event holds a personal connection for me as someone who grew up in Kitimat, a small town south of Terrace. Despite being young at the time, memories of the crash lingered in my mind, especially since my father had flown with Skylink on occasions when he traveled to Vancouver and back, thankfully not on this fatal flight. My aim with this video is to assemble informative content and create a respectful reconstruction of the accident.

The crew proceeded without proper visual references, attempting a missed approach in poor conditions, resulting in a crash. Inadequate company procedures and unclear visual guidelines contributed to the incident. This was determined to be a (CFIT) controlled flight into terrain type accident.
