I'm returning from a Christmas break today and getting back to my normal publishing schedule for the new year. And after the comedy of errors that was Broken Oar Grotto in the last video, it's high time we get things back on track in this one. Our goal is still collecting all the spells we can before starting in earnest on the College of Winterhold questline. Today we're after the spell Flaming Familiar, which is a quest reward for the quest A Scroll for Anska.

The quest takes place in High Gate Ruins in the northwest, so that's where we head. When we arrive a revered dragon makes an appearance, so we take a few minutes to kill him before heading inside. There isn't much to say about this particular location - it's pretty standard fare for a Nordic ruin. At the end the dragon priest Vokun waits for us, and we happily trap his soul to add to our collection. Besides his eponymous mask, the first word of the Storm Call shout is ours for the taking as well.

We complete the quest and add Flaming Familiar to our repertoire. From there it's back to Whiterun for a standard sort n' sell. Next time we're off to complete the Alteration Ritual Spell quest we received from Tolfdir.
