Skyrim 100% Maximized Legendary Playthrough - 267. Sunderstone Gorge
5As mentioned last time, we're using the time before The Wolf Queen Awakened starts to collect all the Stones of Barenziah we can. Today we're off to Sunderstone Gorge to collect the one there. This location is usually a pretty popular target for radiant quests, so it's slightly surprising we haven't been sent here already.
Fast traveling to Bloated Man's Grotto, it's random encounter city trying to get to the location. First, we spy some Vigilants chasing a vampire and we decide to join in. While chasing the vampire they manage to run so far they get to another world encounter location, where the vampires dressed as Vigilants encounter has spawned. So we now have a total of four vampires to take down, but it's not a problem.
Resuming our journey by horseback, I inevitably always fail to take the right path when trying to get to Sunderstone Gorge. Thankfully I realize my mistake quickly this time and get back on track. Then when we're almost to the cave a group of cultists appear. We cut them up La Machine style and finally make it to our destination.
Inside it's a standard fumigate-and-loot situation. Since most of the enemies here are mages we bust out stealth archer mode, and I'm pretty sure none of them managed to get off a single offensive spell before getting ventilated by our arrows. It's a fairly short cave, so in no time we arrive at the final room and claim the Stone we came for.
We finish up with the usual sort n' sell back in Whiterun. Next time we're off to one of my favorite locations in the game - Rannveig's Fast - for our next Stone. I'll see you then.
