Sorry I've missed a few uploads on my normal Skyrim schedule, but we have a super busy summer and it's going to be hard to not miss some days here and there.

We continue working through the Thieves Guild main questline today with Dampened Spirits. Maven Black-Briar is looking to put rival meadery Honningbrew out of business, and our contact is Mallus Macceous, a worker there. He and Maven have hatched a plan to get the owner, Sabjorn, thrown in jail by having him accidentally poison Commander Caius, Whiterun's Captain of the Guard. He's allowed the meadery to be infested by skeevers, and our job is to get the poison to take care of them from Sabjorn, then add it to the mead.

It's reasonable to ask what Mallus even needs us for, but as we fight our way through skeevers and spiders, we finally come to an insane mage named Hamelyn who is trying to create an army of skeevers to overrun Whiterun. Interesting fact, "Hamelyn" is a reference to the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, who used his magic flute to lead rats out of the city of Hamelin. In any case Hamelyn gets his throat cut and his soul added to our collection.

Besides that it's largely just a matter of robbing the whole place blind. We plant the poison and return to Sabjorn, only to witness him being hauled off to jail as planned. After finishing up we return to Maven and the Thieves Guild for follow-up. We're still trying to find out who the mysterious enemy of the Guild is, and now we're being sent to Solitude to talk to the one lead we have - the Argonian Gulum-Ei. We pick up with Scoundrel's Folly next time.
