Skyrim: Dawnguard - Auriel's Shield
681The unique shield, Auriel's Shield, in The Elder Scrolls V: Dawnguard DLC for Skyrim.
You will require the Ruby Paragon and insert it into the Paragon Platform which is located across the river were the Sapphire Crystal is found. A portal will be created which sends you to an area where a Falmer Warmonger is found wielding the shield.

This shield stores energy of blocked attacks which can be released by power bashing. The shield will flash and glow brighter (up to 3 times) the stronger it gets. Releasing the energy after 1 or 2 flashes will cause your enemies to stagger whereas releasing the force after 3 will send them enemies flying. These effects work similar to the Unrelenting Force Dragon Shout.
It can be upgraded with a Refined Moonstone ingot at a workbench and also benefits from the Elven Smithing perk, which doubles the improvement.
