Story background:
Jiub is a returning character from The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, the Dunmer prisoner encountered in the video game's introduction. He was later known as Saint Jiub after many heroic feats but was eventually killed in Kvatch during the Oblivion Crisis. His soul was captured by a Dremora and sent to the Soul Cairn where he is then encountered by the Dragonborn centuries later.
