Previously, Davilas started concentrating on the sidequests available in Raven Rock. He began exploring Raven Rock Mine for the quest "The Final Descent". Now, he will see if he can find the secret that killed Crescius Caerellius's ancestor, Gratian.

After resuming, Davilas finds the body of Gratian Caerellius. He loots the Bloodskal Blade and Gratian's Journal. Davilas must read Gratian's Journal. When you equip the Bloodskal Blade, it will fire beams of energy when you use power attacks. Davilas must now escape Bloodskal Barrow.

To escape the room, Davilas needs to fire beams at the six red scars on the doorway arch. Some scars are horizontal, some vertical. To fire horizontal beams, he must move sideways while power-attacking, and he cannot be sneaking. Finally, he must do a vertical power-attack to the center of the door.

In the tomb chamber beyond, Davilas will face another undead Dragon Priest, Zahkriisos. Zahkriisos employs lightning attacks. After defeating Zahkriisos, Davilas can claim the Zahkriisos mask, which increases Shock resistance by 50% and Shock spell damage by 25%.

This chamber also has a Word Wall. Davilas learns "Wyrm", the last word of "Dragon Aspect". For learning all the words of this shout, the player earns the silver Dragonborn trophy "Dragon Aspect". Davilas unlocks this word right away.

In a chamber beyond, Davilas discovers the "Black Book: The Winds of Change". As he enters this book, he starts the quest "Black Book: The Winds of Change". This section of Apocrypha is fairly straightforward and has only one zone.

At the end, Davilas finds the corresponding Black Book. This concludes the quest "Black Book: The Winds of Change". Davilas has the opportunity to choose from one of three active effects: "Scholar's Insight", "Companion's Insight", and "Lover's Insight". Davilas chooses "Companion's Insight". With this in effect, the player's attacks, shouts, and destruction spells will (theoretically) do no damage to followers.

Davilas returns to where he left off in Raven Rock Mine. Upstairs, he takes the door to Bloodskal Barrow. This area is actually an exit. After opening up the shortcut, the only barrier to Davilas's exit is a gang of Reavers.

Davilas exits to Solstheim. Bloodskal Barrow is along the coast north of Raven Rock. Now that Davilas has escaped the barrow, he must return to Crescius Caerellius in Raven Rock.

After clearing out the area's Reavers, Davilas fast-travels back to Raven Rock. At the Caerellius House, he reports to Crescius. Now that Crescius has his closure, the Raven Rock Mine will soon open again. "The Final Descent" complete!

As Davilas leaves the house, Captain Veleth approaches him. Veleth issues the quest "Served Cold". The prerequisite quests are "The Final Descent" and "March of the Dead". Second Councilor Adril Arano needs to speak to Davilas.

Davilas reports to Glover Mallory that he has the Ancient Nordic Pickaxe. Glover lets Davilas keep the pickaxe. "Return Ancient Nordic Pickaxe to Glover Mallory" complete! Now, Davilas can mine Stalhrim as desired.

Then, Davilas meets Adril Arano for "Served Cold". Adril believes that the Ulen Family of House Hlaalu is planning to assassinate Councilor Morvayn. However, before Adril can act, he needs proof. So, Davilas first needs to gather information. First, Davilas must talk to Geldis Sadri, the proprietor of the Retching Netch Cornerclub.

At the Retching Netch Cornerclub, Davilas talks to Geldis Sadri about Adril Arano. Adril's idea is for Davilas to stake out the Ulen Ancestral Tomb, where an unknown party has been leaving offerings. Geldis can also explain why Morvayn had to execute an Ulen.

When Davilas asks about Geldis's specialty, Geldis issues the objective "Distribute Sadri's Sujamma (0/10)". Davilas must distribute ten Sadri's Sujammas to the residents of Raven Rock.

Afterwards, Davilas heads to the Ulen Ancestral Tomb. After he waits for a short while, he sees a woman, Tilisu Severin, enter. Regardless of what he asks her, she will be evasive. After questioning her, Davilas must return to Adril.

Davilas reports to Adril about Tilisu. However, Adril still needs hard evidence. So, he gives Davilas the Severin Manor Key and assigns him to recover evidence from Severin Manor.

Next time, Davilas will investigate Severin Manor for evidence.
