I continue my decent deeper into the Falmer infested ruins, killing every creature that crosses my path. These ruins are massive, but I must push on. Eventually we catch up with Mercer Frey, who used Nocturnal's skeleton key to gain access to the state. However, Mercer is no fool and he knows that we were following him. Mercer uses a spell Brynolff who begins to attack Karlyah, now Mercer cannot run and must face me one on one. The fight is short as I quickly remove Mercer's head from his body, and retrieve the Skeleton Key and both the statues eyes. As the room quickly begins to flood and we escape. Karlyah asks me to return the skeleton key to the Twilight Sepulchre in the southwestern part of Skyrim, dispite wanting to keep the key I accept. Appon arriving at the Twilight Sepulchre, I kill a group of Thalmor assassins hired to kill me. I'll deal with the Thalmor at a later time.
