One of the first areas released by the Skyrim - Home of the Nords team, the Vorndgad Forest is a vast and densely wooded region, located between the large trading city of Karthwasten, and the more distant regional capital of Markarth. Despite these nearby cities, the only real settlement in the Vorndgad Forest is the small village of Karthgad, home to stout and sturdy Nordic folk, namely hunters and foresters, and who are otherwise an xenophobic and suspicious lot. Outside of Karthgad, you'll find many lost ruins, mines, and burial chambers out in the forest, not to mention many dangers, for the forest is a hostile place. Still, there's more than a few adventures to be had here for the curious adventurer, even a few quests might await your discovery in the Vorndgad Forest!
