Skyrim with Real Sword motion controls
Skyrim Nintendo switch motion controls with a Real sword, Elder Scrolls VI has been announced at E3 and Elder scrolls blades so lets try some skyrim gameplay using a joy-con controller's motion controls and a real sword, not Skyrim VR game, no mods, in docked mode, real life, Skyrim but badass, Elder scrolls V.
This video was really a test to see if you could attach a Nintendo switch joy-con controller to a real sword and play The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim with motion controls activated. The theory behind it was simple, if it works you can swing your real sword and the sword on screen will react, similar to motion controls in PS VR or with other VR systems like Oculus rift and the HTC vive. The difference being that it's obviously cheeper and you can really feel the weight of the sword and feel it in your hand at the same time. So I set a mission for my self armed with a mortuary sword I taped my right joy-con to the hilt and attempted to tape the left joy-con to a make shift shield made from a pot lid (a homage to the legend of Zelda breath of the wild). Unfortunately the signal from the left joy-con went haywire so I opted for just the sword and it worked better than I had hoped. Check out the results of this mad experiment in this video.
