In this video I show the first 40 minutes of gameplay of Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition played in glorious 4K and 60 frames per second in 2022. This ten year old games holds up rather well with modern clarity. It is the enhanced and final version of the highly acclaimed original 2012 Sleeping Dogs. Incredible voice talents include many high-end celbrities such as Will Yun Lei (Altered Carbon), Emma Stone and Lucy Liu, and Kelly Hu to name a few. Sleeping Dogs is the spiritual successor to the video games True Crime series and has some similarities to Grand Theft Auto with it's raw and visceral crime world type of storylines.
Wei Shen is a young police officer working for the San Francisco Police Department. He gets tasked with going back to his hometown of Hong Kong to infiltrate the Chinese Triad gangs and bring down their leaders. Wei is tasked with getting into the "Sun on Yee". Wei goes undercover with co-operation of the Hong Kong Police Department and finds a way into the Triad to gather information and take them down, but the police soon become worried that he is getting attached to his old friends such as Jackie Ma. In this journey of Betrayal and high-stakes, will Wei become a "Red Pole" and join the high ranks of the Triads or be discovered by them and be burned alive?
