About This Song:
This is a traditional jazz arrangement of Sleepy Time Gal, a favorite of my Grandma Margie. I never met my grandmother, but mom mom would tell me about how she played jazz on the organ at night after putting the kids in bed. When I started to learn jazz music from my mentor, Bob Distefano, in Omaha Nebraska, I told him this story and he taught me the changes to the song, but it wasn't until recently that I've learned enough to do a very full instrumental arrangement. It's based on arrangement for Trumpet, Trombone, Clarinet, Bass, and Banjo/Guitar. As an aside, these types of arrangements are a great way to practice octave transposing as a guitarist.

About This Recording:
I recorded each part continuously, but I did apply a few effects afterwards, such as reverb on the "trumpet" voice, and some eq and noise cancelation, as well as amplifying some of the quieter parts on the trombone voice, and then some overall compression to reduce the volume, and a little bit of stereo.

Please, give me any advice you have about mixing the track! I have never really done it before.
