Slim Plays Mega Man 8 - #1. Robot Bash
100Hello everybody, SlimKirby here, and welcome to my new playthrough; Mega Man 8. After Mega Man 7 on the SNES, it took a few years before the next installment was made, but it eventually made landing on.....the PlayStation and Sega Saturn? That's random...oh well, I'm playing this on the PS2 Anniversary Collection anyway, so this playthrough will be all kinds of weird and different.
Definitely far from my favorite Mega Man game, but it was definitely interesting going through this title. This will not be a 100% playthrough on the merit that....a 100% playthrough is kind of impossible, since there are only a certain number of bolts you can get, not enough to get all the items, so I'm not doing that. I will point out where some bolts are that I don't get, but I won't be doing any backtracking unless it happens to be pretty minimal.
Get ready for a nightmare of bad cutscenes (cutscenes that look fine, but sound terrible because of bad voice acting), and because I'm playing the Anniversary Collection, there are some weird sound oddities, usually when explosions are involved. I don't know why they increased the volume for those sound effects, but....it happened.
In this first video, I will be playing through the intro stage and Frost Man's stage! Usually I will do about 2 stages per video, except near the end when the stages get much shorter.
