104Hello everybody, SlimKirby here, and welcome to my next Let's Play....a replay of a game I covered back in 2009, but this time, a more up to date version that was released only a few short months ago. Welcome back to the world of Link's Awakening!
Link's Awakening is hands down, one of my favorite Zelda games, because it was the first Zelda game I've ever completed and I got to experience it alongside another one of my favorite Zelda games, A Link to the Past. When I saw that a remake was being made for the game, I got pretty excited because of my full-blown nostalgia for this game, although I was worried about that 60 dollar price tag. As more developments were made and more content was shown, I was able to settle down a bit more and get on board with this, even though I do think the price point is still a little high. It is a remake of a Game Boy game after all, one you can get for as low as 6 dollars on the Nintendo 3DS e-shop. However, this game still has a lot of charm and the remake looks absolutely stunning! I'm looking forward to showcasing this game and all that it has to offer, so I hope you enjoy!
As usual, you can expect me to go for the 100% game completion, but be warned that 100% is a bit more tedious in this game compared to the original. A lot more collectibles were added this time around and a few extra fetch quests were added to the mix as well, some of which give rewards, and others of which don't and are purely visual features. I'll try to edit down all of the redundant stuff whenever it feels necessary to do so.
In this first video, we find out where we land on this island, collect our bearings and start exploring the town a little bit. We also do some fishing and play at the local trendy game!
