This is a prime example of an interesting glitch that speedrunners just casually know but you can't intentionally find it by searching. The Ghost World glitch (which is what I'm calling it since I don't think it has a name) happens when you enter the reload code and buffer it until a certain point of a level transition. The result is that you're sent back to the level you were in but almost everything is culled out. Here I do it with a van approach level since that gives you time to do the inputs, and this game's Reload Code has the Select button as the final input, which is perfect since that's the Map button.

Something important to note is that I've done some testing and it appears it does NOT work on PCSX2, only RPCS3, real PS3, and according to Snugggles, real PS2. I'm guessing whatever PCSX2 does to prevent some game crashes happens to fix this.
